Mani-swap

Hello.

Mani-swap...this is something I've done a couple of times ago...something I really like doing...and finally I did it again.

This time...I did a mani-swap with a girl I recently met on the facebook group I am part of.

You can check her instagram @alexandruvioleta - she doesn't have a blog.

I decided to do a manicure I absolutely fell in love with - it was love at first sight hehe - I would have done the manicure eventually because it is too good to pass.

I hope you like it.

She recreated my OPI design I posted a month ago and as you can see she did an amazing job - the lines are exactly the same!
Good job Violeta. Check her instagram account @alexandruvioleta.

Close to my heart #4

Morning darlings!

Another "close to my heart" blog post...today I am going to write about someone who I am very attached to, someone who I never thought will become so important to me.

The mani I am going to show you...it's done in November last year I think, but I wasn't able to post it when I planned, so I kept it there for the right moment!

And now is the right moment. The mani I did...is something I usually do for mani swapping : I take a manicure done by another blogger and try to do my version of the manicure.

Today's blog post is dedicated to my good good friend : Ithfifi.

When I think about Ithi, I think about 2 words : friendship and trust.
As I said many times before...I am amazed by how easily you can get attached to a person without even meeting once. This is what happened to us.

We got to know each other via our passion : nails. (to be honest I don't really remember how I found her blog, or how she found mine...not even how we started talking)
The most important thing is ...that we started talking around one year ago...and since then...not one day has passed without us two talking. Maybe we weren't able to chit chat 3 hours ...but we at least "checked-in" and asked how our days went.

I am used to talking to her on a regular basis....and I find it really hard when we're not able to. I cannot say in words how much she means to me, and what a kind, lovely and carrying person she is.
She was there for me everyday, at any time no matter if I was sad or happy.
We haven't met yet...but we made a pact : if we aren't able to visit each other until one of us gets married, WE WILL MAKE IT TO THE WEDDING, and this is a promise!

When you get along so well with someone and when you care that much about them, the only think you can want more is to be close to them.
I cannot tell you how excited I'll be when I'll be able to talk to her face to face. The thought alone makes me smile.

I wish everyone had a true friend as I have...and I am saying this, even if she is miles away, in the Netherlands.

I dedicate this manicure to her and to our friendship, which I wish to last forever.

Now I will show you the mani that inspired me. (hers was a million times better than mine)
I appreciate her as a blogger, a very talented one actually, but I appreciate her more as the true friend she is.

Hugs and kisses !

ManiSwap- Helena

Hello everybody.

How are you today?

Remember my first mani swap post? If not, you can check it out HERE

I really liked the idea...so I convinced another polish-friend ( I told you about her in the first maniswap post) to do a swap with me.
She was very excited too and she did the mani very fast.

Helena is the lady behind this beautiful blog : EasyNailArtIdeas  and she is also a good friend.

I will say it again (and again, and again) that I am very happy that I had the opportunity to meet these lovely ladies!

The first design I am going to show you is Helena's recreation of my design.
I did this mani for BornPrettyStore, trying out the studs.

I personally think she did an amazing job. (she's like an ombre queen, she always makes them perfect). Check her tutorial for an ombre HERE!!!

I have never said this in public, (but told her though) , that I LOVE her nail shape. They are perfectly square. I'd kill for a shape like that. (Helena, be aware)

This is the second design. This, is my recreation of her mani.

Unfortunatelly, I didn't have the exact same colours she used, so I had to improvize, but I think the manis are pretty close.

I think this is one of the best manis Helena did. I did this mani 3 days ago, and I'm still wearing it!

I absolutely love it.

Here are some more pics with my mani.

Please don't forget to check HER BLOG  out.

ManiSwap- Ithi

Hello again.

Have you heard of the trend "mani swap" ?

I've seen some mani swaps on the internet and I really liked the idea. I thought that it would be a nice way to promote each other's blog.

That's why I talked with my internet/polish - friend Ithi from ITHINITY BEAUTY

We started talking on facebook since the "share the love" movement was a big thing. We firstly talked about nailpolish and designs...but then we become good friends.

I am very happy to say, that trough my passion I met some amazing ladies from all over the world. Ithi from Holland, Monica from the USA and Helena from  Croatia. I made friends online without even knowing.

I hope that one day I'll be able to not call them just "internet friends" but 'friends", I hope I'll have the chance to meet them.

Now, talking about the mani swap.
I choose a design Ithi did and she choose one I did; after this, we recreated them, ofc, adding a personal touch to it.

Unfortunatelly, my nails broke and the designs are very different since she has longer nails.

I love this ManiSwap iddea and I hope that my friends will be nice enough to accept my invitation to do this.

I decided to recreate this design. It's not even close to her design but I think it turned out nice.
My friend decided to recreate my "riverstone" mani. She added her special touch: the water. I think she did an amazing job.
