Saturday's Theme- 2. Pantone Colours

Hello hello !

I will begin today's post by saying I can't believe I am doing this....I haven't posted anything in more than half an year (shame on me) and probably wouldn't have if it weren't for my dearest friend Oana who practically pushed me to do it.

A couple of days ago I posted on Instagram the nail polish I will use for my next manicure...the coincidence was that the TPA group  had planned a "green" theme for today's post, so, here I am with the green manicure.

As you may already know, this year's colour is green - GREENERY- as set by Pantone every year.

Before showing you my manicure, I need to mention that fate played a hard game today and made me choose the same nail polish as another great blogger, Andra - see how she wore the same colour Here (the matte version)


I love Pantone's choice for this year's colour(s) - i think it's a great tribute to nature.

To be honest, green is not my colour when it comes to nails or clothes but I love nature so that's enough reason to have it on.

For today's manicure I used "Waikiki" by Barry M.

I used 3 coats for complete coverage, coats that have dried very quickly (yay) and I topped that with a glossy top coat even if the nail polish is matte.

Dotticure.

Hello hello !

Those of you who follow me on different social medias have already seen this manicure, but I want to talk about the tool I used for this manicure!

I recently got an interesting dotting tool from BronPrettyStore which I tried when doing this look.

There's this dotting tool with exchangeable heads - which in my opinion is a SUPER DEAL!
Why get more tools when you can have only one that does the job?

The tool has 5 heads with 5 different sizes.
Along with the dotting tools we have a pen head I wasn't able to try because you need a special ink-like solution which I don't have, but I've seen being used by a talented girl I know HERE .

March's Nails Challenge- Vintage

Buna dimi fete dragi !

Postarea de astazi ii este dedicata unei fete foarte dragi mie Andrea!

In acelasi timp, vreau sa imi cer scuze fata de ea, pentru ca am facut aceasta postare atat de tarziu.

Acum...mult timp (cam jumatate de an) am primit de la ea un cadou foarte frumos pentru care nu am apucat sa ii multumesc cum se cuvine.

Din aceasta cauza, manichiura pe care am facut-o pentru aceasta tema este realizata (aproape) in totalitate cu ojele primite de la Andrea.

Si nu doar atat . Stiu cat de mult ii place sa se inspire din rochii/fuste/tinute in general, atunci cand realizeaza unele modele...asa ca m-am hotarat ca inspiratia mea sa fie tot o fusta.

Sper din suflet sa iti placa ,si, iti multumesc din suflet inca o data pentru cadou - stiu ca e cam tarziu dar sper sa ma intelegi.

ps : doar pentru ca nu am facut pana acum o postare in special dedicata ei, asta nu inseamna ca nu am folosit ojele de la ea. :P

In ceea ce priveste tema...VINTAGE, am ales o simpla fusta care mie imi striga vintage si am incercat sa o "mut" pe unghii,

 Nici nu imi vine sa va spun cat m-am chinuit cu aceasta manichiura. Initial am vrut sa folosesc striping tape ...dar am renuntat si le-am facut cu pensula.
Am zis ca nu se mai termina.
Eu consider ca a meritat efortul. Voi ce parere aveti?

Nail Art Marathon - Leadlight

Sunteti gata pentru o noua postare?  Colaborarea maraton imi place la nebunie. Sunt multe teme si tehnici pe care nu le-am incercat pana acum, cea de astazi fiind una dintre ele.

Leadlight - propus de draga mea Oana- este o tehnica foarte interesanta. In ce consta aceasta tehnica?

De obicei, se foloseste o baza sau deschisa la culoare, se stampileaza un model cu negru....si folosind oje sheer se coloreaza partea alba.

Eu am decis sa fac manichiura pe dos - un reverse leadlight. Am folosit o baza neagra, am stampilat cu alb si am colorat modelul stampilat.

Ca aceasta manichiura sa fie 100% Oana - placuta pe care am folosit-o este imprumutata de la de ea.

Trebuie sa va spun ca m-a chinuit destul de mult manichiura pe care o sa o vedeti astazi- avand unghiile foarte lungi (este lungimea maxima pe care am avut-o vreodata) nu am reusit sa stampilez toata unghia. Aici problema este stamper-ul, pentru ca nu am un stamper mai mare - am doar 2 rotunde cu care nu pot sa acopar toata unghia. (mai am unul patrat, care e prea tare si nu pot sa il folosesc) Ma 'chinuie' de mult aceasta problema....si sper sa o rezolv in curand sa imi comand de undeva un stamper mare si , mai ales, moale!

Dupa multe incercari am decis sa folosesc un model care arata bine fara sa fie pe toata unghia.

Am ales sa stampilez niste crengute de pe placuta Mother Nature-03 de la Moyou London.

Din pacate am fost nevoita sa fac fotografiile seara- fara lumina naturala si nu arata tocmai minunat.

Eu nu am nicio oja sheer in colectie, asa ca , mi le-am facut singura, daca pot sa zic asa. Am ales doua oje de la Golden Rose (maro-187 si verde-200).
Am pus o picatura de oja si o picatura de lac (pe o bucatica de hartie- de bicei folosesc carti de vizita) si le-am amestecat inainte sa le folosesc.

Nu sunt 100% multumita de aceasta manichiura dar tinand cont ca este prima data cand folosesc aceasta tehnica este ok.
O sa incerc cu siguranta si tehnica normala, pe baza alba.

China Glaze - Starboard

Good evening lovelies!

How are you? I hope you had a great start of the week!

I am one day from my last exam....so I am very busy, but, also excited to finally finishing college.

Tonight I want to show you a gorgeous nail polish I received as a birthday gift from my good friend Oana!!

China Glaze Starboard - the most gorgeous green you'll ever see. I can say that this is the perfect shade for Christmas manicures.

I simply fell in love with this colour, even if I am not such a green lover (even though...I own a lot of greens)

After I swatched this polish my nails broke....so, short nails again - I will still have some long-nail manicures which I did in advance. 

The shine the nail polish has...it's his own (if i can say it like that) - I didn't use any top coat. 

Talking about topcoat- the nail polish lasted on my nails (without chipping at all) around 5 days, and it still looked good when I cleaned it up. 

This can easily be described as a one-coater, but I like to use two coats, no matter the quality of the polish. 

There is no staining with this nail polish- which is...PERFECT?! (I have a gorgeous green, from another famous brand, which I don't use because it stains the nail and the fingers). I used the nail polish with and without a basecoat and still no stains- so, it's go !

Last, but not least, the drying time is ...normal. Not quick but definitely not slow.

If you are a green lover....and you want a gorgeous colour which also has a great formula don't hesitate to buy it. It's adorable! 

Avon Magic Effect- Mineral crush TOPAZ swatch

Buna dimineata dragelor!

V-am promis de mult ca va arat si a doua oja de la Avon si ma tin de cuvant. Swatch-ul l-am facut de mult dar nu am apucat sa fac postarea.

Este o oja minunata cu o sclipire superba.

Este foarte rezistenta - am avut-o pe unghii 5 zile si a rezistat fara probleme. (fara topcoat)

Nu va mai spun nimic altceva despre ea, am laudat-o destul. Va arat fotografiile.

Asa arata oja in a 5-a zi de purtare. (scuzati cuticulele cam uscate)

Am intarziat putin sambata asta cu postarea pentru colaborare, sper sa ma iertati. :*

Tema de saptamana asta este propusa de Kinga : Floral.

Poate ca v-am mai spus, sau poate nu, dar florile sunt printre preferatele mele in materie de modele pe unghii - din pacate, in ultima perioada nu am mai reusit sa fac floricele cum imi place mie. (nu prea am mai reusit sa fac manichiuri, in general- sper totusi sa se schimbe in curand situatia)

Modelul pe care o sa vi-l arat astazi, este facut pe acel verde minunat pe care vi l-am aratat ieri. Este o manichiura foarte foarte simpla realizata in totalitate cu oje de EvelineCosmetics.

 Dupa ce am fotografiat manichiura, m-am gandit sa adaug pe inelar si aratator cate un ruffian, pentru ca mi se parea cam simpla manichiura.
Mi-a placut foarte mult cum a iesit, dar din cauza ca se toceste foarte repede oja...am sters modelul imediat...si am realizat altul. (o sa vi-l arat in curand)

Buna seara fete dragi!

Am scris si pe Facebook (noua pagina) , ca o sa va arat un swatch.

A fost groaznic sa fotografiez culoarea! In sticluta e o culoare, pe unghii una...iar in fotografii alta :))

In schimb, oja este minunata : pensula este lata(permite aplicarea ojei pe unghie dintr-o singura miscare), oja este cremoasa...si acopera perfect dintr-un singur strat. (cu toate astea eu am dat 2, ca de obicei)
Ce am observat totusi...este ca oja nu rezista foarte mult...chiar si cu top coat-ul meu preferat (foarte foarte bun) in cateva ore se toceste.

Cred ca in poza asta se apropie culoarea cel mai mult de realitate.
Verdele e unul mai...crud. Nici nu stiu cum sa descriu exact culoarea. Crud sau nu...imi place la nebunie :)

NTC- 50 shades of green

50 SHADES OF GREEN

I'd rather choose this than 50 shades of Grey (please don't start jumping on my head- I simply don't like it)

Today's theme was proposed by AndraKat. I am sure many of you already know (at least) 2 things about her: loves cats and loves GREEN (and if we talk about nail polishes....textured if possible)

For this manicure I had many ideas...(before my nails broke) but I wasn't able to do what I had in mind. Instead I did some "dotticure"

I haven't done in some time dots on my nails- so here it is : 50 Shades of Green.
