Saturday's Theme- 2. Pantone Colours

Hello hello !

I will begin today's post by saying I can't believe I am doing this....I haven't posted anything in more than half an year (shame on me) and probably wouldn't have if it weren't for my dearest friend Oana who practically pushed me to do it.

A couple of days ago I posted on Instagram the nail polish I will use for my next manicure...the coincidence was that the TPA group  had planned a "green" theme for today's post, so, here I am with the green manicure.

As you may already know, this year's colour is green - GREENERY- as set by Pantone every year.

Before showing you my manicure, I need to mention that fate played a hard game today and made me choose the same nail polish as another great blogger, Andra - see how she wore the same colour Here (the matte version)


I love Pantone's choice for this year's colour(s) - i think it's a great tribute to nature.

To be honest, green is not my colour when it comes to nails or clothes but I love nature so that's enough reason to have it on.

For today's manicure I used "Waikiki" by Barry M.

I used 3 coats for complete coverage, coats that have dried very quickly (yay) and I topped that with a glossy top coat even if the nail polish is matte.

How is your week so far?

If you follow me on Instagram or on Facebook you may know this weekend I finally got my light box.
I was so excited I couldn't wait and I had to do a manicure ...so , I will show it to you today. I didn't set up my camera perfectly so I think the pictures could have turned out even better...but I am pretty happy with them.

I hope you like them - today I am more interested in your opinion on my photos rather than my design hehe.

For my design I used very autumny colour - brown, orange and a beige. A good friend of mine told me the colour combination looks very high end , something like Louboutin would choose for their designs.

Ce faceti in aceasta dimineata? Eu tocmai am ajuns acasa de la munca si m-am gandit sa fac o postare pe blog : scurt si la obiect.

Am pregatit o manichiura simpluta astazi, un tip de manichiura pe care mi-am dorit de mult sa o incerc - ombre stampilat.

Am ales sa fac un ombre cu alb-bej-maro si am stampilat cu negru.

Am stampilat cu placuta de la BornPrettyStore, BP-40 .(am folosit o oja normala, nu una pentru stampilat ca sa obtin un efect sheer- si mi-a iesit exact cum mi-am dorit)

Sunteti gata pentru o noua postare?  Colaborarea maraton imi place la nebunie. Sunt multe teme si tehnici pe care nu le-am incercat pana acum, cea de astazi fiind una dintre ele.

Leadlight - propus de draga mea Oana- este o tehnica foarte interesanta. In ce consta aceasta tehnica?

De obicei, se foloseste o baza sau deschisa la culoare, se stampileaza un model cu negru....si folosind oje sheer se coloreaza partea alba.

Eu am decis sa fac manichiura pe dos - un reverse leadlight. Am folosit o baza neagra, am stampilat cu alb si am colorat modelul stampilat.

Ca aceasta manichiura sa fie 100% Oana - placuta pe care am folosit-o este imprumutata de la de ea.

Trebuie sa va spun ca m-a chinuit destul de mult manichiura pe care o sa o vedeti astazi- avand unghiile foarte lungi (este lungimea maxima pe care am avut-o vreodata) nu am reusit sa stampilez toata unghia. Aici problema este stamper-ul, pentru ca nu am un stamper mai mare - am doar 2 rotunde cu care nu pot sa acopar toata unghia. (mai am unul patrat, care e prea tare si nu pot sa il folosesc) Ma 'chinuie' de mult aceasta problema....si sper sa o rezolv in curand sa imi comand de undeva un stamper mare si , mai ales, moale!

Dupa multe incercari am decis sa folosesc un model care arata bine fara sa fie pe toata unghia.

Am ales sa stampilez niste crengute de pe placuta Mother Nature-03 de la Moyou London.

Din pacate am fost nevoita sa fac fotografiile seara- fara lumina naturala si nu arata tocmai minunat.

Eu nu am nicio oja sheer in colectie, asa ca , mi le-am facut singura, daca pot sa zic asa. Am ales doua oje de la Golden Rose (maro-187 si verde-200).
Am pus o picatura de oja si o picatura de lac (pe o bucatica de hartie- de bicei folosesc carti de vizita) si le-am amestecat inainte sa le folosesc.

Nu sunt 100% multumita de aceasta manichiura dar tinand cont ca este prima data cand folosesc aceasta tehnica este ok.
O sa incerc cu siguranta si tehnica normala, pe baza alba.

Stamping, stamping, stamping.

Do you remember what was my opinion on stamping one year ago or so? You don't? Well...I do.

To be short I'll just say one word : DIFFICULT. If you asked me what I thought about stamping this is the answer I would have given you...but now things have changed.

I didn't just learn to stamp right...but I started LOVING it. Now If you ask me to describe stamping I wouldn't use the word I used a year ago(I am not saying it isn't because sometimes i have to try 5-6 times until I get the design to transfer right from the plate to my nail)  but I'd say something like : exciting, great, creative.

You  can do a very large variety of designs using only one stamping plate - you can mix colours and designs exactly as you wish.

If you haven't started stamping yet- what have you been doing? Try it but be prepared to have patience because it takes some practice.

Today I want to show you a manicure I did using a stamping plate from my fav brand - MoyouNails

I always wanted to try stamping over holo nail polish....and I finally did BUT there was no sun this morning ...so you cannot see the beautiful holo properly.

This is the holo I used as a base colour- photographed yesterday, in the sun.
I personally love this nail polish :x

 

I stamped the design with the MoyouNails special nail polish and sealed the design with my
all-time-favourite top coat from Farmec.

As you can see...from today post I started doing a new thing : I will be writing the name or the number of the nail polish on the photo.

Maybe like this it will be easier both for you and for me.

Next, I will show you what stamping plate I used for this manicure and some more designs I did with it.

I used MoyouNails no.122 (you can see it in the picture too) --->

I choose this plate for the geometric designs...and because I thought they would look good in different combination.

I wasn't wrong : they really do.

I've made many blog posts about the quality of the plates but I will tell you some words now too.
I haven't got ONE plate that doesn't work perfectly - yes, I had some problems transfering some designs BUT they worked out in the end with a lot of practice and also with the right stamper.

I am using the stamper I got from them- and I love it. It's not to hard not to squishy. I thing it's perfect.

Holo, holo...si ruffian!

Sper ca inca mai rezistati...mai sunt 2 zile si vine week-end-ul, vine colaborarea noastra...ah, abia astept!  Am pregatit manichiura de acum 2 saptamani si abia astept sa o scot "in lume".

Initial nu aveam niciun plan sa scriu pe blog pana sambata...dar ieri am avut o zi groaznica : treaza de la 7, plecata de la 10 de acasa, intoarsa acasa tarziu , 2 examene...stres, agitatie, nervi, si pur si simplu m-am gandit ca asa o sa ma descarc putin. In plus, o sa va arat o manichiura pe care o ador....cu o oja pe care o ador.

Este prima mea oja holografica!! Probabil ca multe dintre voi stiti ca mi-am dorit enorm de mult o oja de acest gen...dar nu am reusit pana acum sa pun mana pe una.

Saptamana trecuta...mi-am achizitionat de la Flormar 2 oje holo minunate...pe care abia asteptam sa le incerc.(o sa le vedeti mai jos pe amandoua)

M-am gandit destul de mult ce manichiura sa fac cu oja minunata - ei bine, exista un stil de manichiura (despre care am aflat mai tarziu ca are si un nume) pe care mi-am dorit sa il incerc de ceva timp ...si am facut-o : astazi o sa va arat ruffian.

Habar nu aveam ca aceasta tehnica are nume...am crezut ca e pur si simplu o manichiura ...un fel de french inversat :))

Ei bine....sper sa va placa! Eu m-am indragostit atat de oja holo cat si de manichiura. Am purtat-o cam 3-4 zile pe unghii :D

 Dupa cum vedeti am combinat oja holo cu acest minunat nude la GoldenRose .
Am folosit deja de cateva ori oja si o iubesc. Imi aduce aminte de minunatul meu nude (care nu mai exista in colectia mea) de la SallyHansen-Stocking Nude.
GR Color Expert- nr. 06 - o aplic in doar 2 straturi si este perfecta!

FLORMAR- 394 Golden Orchid
Sa va spun cateva cuvinte despre minunata oja :
Este in aceeasi sticluta ca majoritatea ojelor de la Flormar.
Pensula nu este nici foarte ingusta dar nici lata-  eu ma descurc foarte bine cu ea. (nu pot sa acopar toata unghia dintr-o miscare dar aia nu este o problema)
Se aplica foarte usor, se intinde foarte bine si se usuca destul de repede. Eu am folosit 3 straturi subtiri(mergeau si 2).
Dupa cum vedeti...straluceste fantastic. ( nu am prins nicio zi cu soare ca sa pot surpinde oja in toata splendoarea ei, din pacate)
Ultimul aspect: se sterge usor. Nici ca o oja normala dar nici ca un glitter sau o oja texturata.
Eu le recomand cu caldura si incredere. Efectul lor pe unghii este pur si simplu WOW.

Bineinteles ca am "incheiat" manichiura cu top coat-ul meu preferat de la Farmec.

Pe langa poze, am si un filmulet pentru voi, filmulet pe care il gasiti si pe Instagram.

Ce faceti? Cu ce ocupati aceasta "frumoasa" duminica? (la mine nu e deloc frumoasa, e rece si ceata :( )

Ieri trebuia sa pun muraturi cu mama dar cum am avut niste musafiri neasteptati...au ramas pentru astazi.

M-am gandit sa fac repede aceasta postare si ma apuc de treaba.

Ideea fetelor de a face o colaborare "tomnatica" mi s-a foarte draguta, mai ales pentru ca nu e o colaborare doar pentru nail artists ci si pentru make-up.

NU, stati linistite nu m-am apucat eu de make-up :)) , ci fiecare face un model (unghii, machiaj) pentru toamna.

Alphabet nail art challenge - Letter T

Hello hello.

I cannot believe it's been another week already.

How are you feeling ?

I am getting closer and closer to starting school...and I am pretty happy about it. I've been trough a lot of changes lately...and there are more to come.

They are good changes so I'm happy about them.

I'm posting the mani one day sooner because tomorrow I am leaving town and I won't have internet access. ( I scheduled the "The 31 days challenge" untill I return so you can check my blog everyday for the manis)
